Exclusions

Part Time Exclusions

 

Offering a range of vocational courses and practical experience that enhance basic skills, with the option of attached accreditation. This option can be attached to existing school provision.
 

Short Term Exclusions
 

As with part time exclusions, however we will work with the families and schools to assist reintegration into mainstream education.
 

Full Time Exclusions
 

Providing a full time programme of education that meets the needs and interested of the young person with embedded basic skills and accreditation.

The courses are designed with the learners in mind. The range of activities is diverse to cater to different learning styles, with an emphasis on practical based activities to assist in engaging and motivating the learner. Preparation for further education or workplace environments is essential and these skills are transferred through vocational and project activities. Programmes can be designed termly or yearly and are tailored to meet the needs of the learner. Currently our subjects include:

+Music Technology +Video Production +Dance +DJ Skills +Internet Radio +Live Sound +Barbering *new* +Corn rowing and Natural Hair Care *new* +Salon Services *new* +Gym and Personal Fitness *new* +Adult Literacy and Numeracy

The programmes offer learners the opportunities to gain level 1 or 2 accreditations in either NCFE, OCN, AQA and City and Guilds dependent on the subject.

During the courses young people will work using industry standard equipment in real life scenarios guided by industry professionals.

Placements are charged per learner per day and include lunches. For groups of 5 or more learners bespoke prices can be arranged. Salon based courses incur an additional cost for materials.

Alternative Education

Included in the curriculum is PSHE. We also include the following added benefits:
